Preschoolers are more adventurous and curious about their surroundings, and our teachers stay one step ahead of their students. Each day is thoroughly planned out by what their students show interest in.

In this program, our teachers begin to introduce concepts like opposites, identify emotions and basic directional skills and independence.
Our pre-kindergarten classes focus on kindergarten readiness. Your child's teacher will work with you and your child to ensure they are socially, emotionally, cognitively, and behaviourally prepared for the demands of a kindergarten classroom.

Our teachers use kindergarten benchmarks and continually assess your child's development to ensure they start kindergarten with confidence.

Our Before & After School Program accommodates children in K-Gr.7 in the Pemberton Heights area. Staff from the Sunflower Early Learning Society provide walking drop off and pick up from Capilano Elementary School. The Before and After Program runs Monday to Friday, from 7:30 to 9:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Sunflower has Spring, Summer & Winter Camps! In the Winter & Spring, we run a program for Grades K-7. There are 2 Summer camps: Grades K-7 Camp and a Pre-K Camp (ages 3-5)

Our Approach
Sunflower Early Learning Society proudly provides your children with an emergent curriculum based on the highly acclaimed Reggio Emilia Philosophy. This approach is a way of observing what your child knows, is curious about and what challenges them in order to customize their early education journey to make it more engaging and meaningful.
