Maryam
ECE, Out of School Care Educator
Maryam is originally from Iran and moved to Canada in 2011. It was a big transition that came with challenges, but also a meaningful experience that helped her grow and build a strong sense of resilience and community.
Maryam holds a diploma in accounting from Canada and began working with children about six years ago after earning her ECEA certificate. She completed the ECE program at Ridge Meadows College in August 2024 and enjoys supporting children through warm relationships, patience, and a calm, steady presence. Outside of the classroom, Maryam loves relaxing in nature by walking trails with her dog, along with paddling, yoga, dancing, and coffee chats with friends. She also enjoys music, trying new foods, exploring new places, and spending time with family.

Mirza
ECE, Out of School Care

With over three years of experience at Parkgate Community Centre, valuable skills in childcare and youth programs have been developed since joining in 2019. The best moments have come from watching the kids grow and learn over the years. Growing up in North Vancouver, the open fields, parks, and forests played a significant role in shaping childhood. In free time, gym workouts and staying active through sports like soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, and badminton are enjoyed. Unwinding with TV shows, movies, and stand-up comedy is also a favorite pastime.

Panteha

Panteha was born in Iran and moved to Canada in 2025. She loves spending time with children and finds a lot of joy in supporting their play, curiosity, and growing independence.
Panteha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business and is an Early Childhood Educator. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys cooking, camping, and spending time in nature. She brings a warm, grounded energy to her work and loves creating a welcoming environment where children feel safe to explore and be themselves.
